Punch2Pen transcribes vocals inside the session. After a punch-in, the take is already written: word under the playhead, active line as the title. Click a mis-hear. On the free utility the correction stays in that session. The planned Pro profile carries the dictionary; sign-in is not available in this build.

The mess
Punch-in, then the lyric is gone.
You drop in on bar 17. The vocal is right. Ten minutes later you are typing what you think you said, or bouncing stems so someone else can guess. Punch2Pen is the Living Transcript in the plugin: the word under the playhead, on the host clock, while you still have the headphones on.

Highlight the word under the playhead. Treat the active line as a title. Past, active, and upcoming sit in a temporal hierarchy. Return to live when you scroll. Click a word to correct it.
Local first
Free talks to an engine on the Mac. Generic speech-to-text. No account. No cloud. The correction lives in that session, then it is gone. Paid is the portable dictionary and the correction loop. The playhead stays locked to the DAW clock.

Install the plugin. Punch. Read it back.
AU + VST3 + local engine in one unsigned pkg. The Whisper model is not baked into the installer; postinstall fetches it when it is missing. Install notes.
The installer is for a Mac. On this phone, send yourself the link.
Quit Logic first. Right-click Open if Gatekeeper blocks the unsigned installer.
The editor leaves WAIT once the local engine answers.
